Langtang National Park is situated in the north of Kathmandu valley. It covers 1710 sq. km land of mountainous terrain in the south of the Nepal-china border. There are mainly three entrances for entering into the park which can be assessed by bus: Sundarijal (1-2hrs) and Shermathang to Kathmandu (7hrs).

Trekking and Park Regulation.

All the trekkers are requested to take a national park entry permit while to trekking around the Langtang National Park. It cost is NRs.1000. Park entry permit can only be obtained form Kathmandu. or your local travel/trekking company, or the local Nepali mountaineering Clubs can informs before to the ARMY/POLICE check post near by Dhunche, if incase no time to make it in Kathmandu. and with newly added another permit is called TIMS, (Trekking Information Management System) is required. it is provides by the local agents in associates with TAAN (Trekking Agents Association of Nepal). it costs is 15 U$D per person.

  • Trekkers are required to show park permit at Park Police in Dhunche.
  •  Disturbing wildlife and/ or damaging plants is strictly prohibited.
  •  Purchase of wildlife trophies and / or religious artifacts can cost heavy penalties.
  •  Visitors are required to use Kerosene and gas fuel.
  •  Help the clean park area clean but not littering
