Jumla to Mugu Rara Lake Trekking:

The trek to Rara Lake begins at Jumla District, a village in a Trans-Himalayan terras with rides covered forests and alpine pastures. The town has airstrip and Tele-communication facilities. The flight from Kathmandu to Jumla passes south along the Dhaulagiri range and provides lovely view of Nepal\'s western landscape. It is three and a half-day\'s trek from Jumla to Rara National Park. Rara Lake (2990m) has an area of nearly 14 Square Kilometers and is surrounding hills of pines and Rhododendrons. Rara is one of the biggest lake in Nepal. clean and green fresh water sources starts from the high mountain glaciers in this lake. The deeph of the lake is 165 meeter. Holding with beautiful nature around this lake area has quite and green pine forests. The sounds of birds calls to the human soul to touch with the nature and take a holy bath. In the past according to the lord Krishna’s story says that, thousands of beautiful angels were used to come from the Heaven to take the holy bath in this lake. The peaceful surrounding are enhanced by the reflection of the surrounding hills in the Lake\'s bright blue waters. Due north, chankheli peak (3201m) looms large access the deep Mugu Karnali gorge. The usual itinerary is a loop that starts and ends at Jumla and entire treks about ten days. Food has to bring from Jumla but beyond the Bazaar. It is often unavailable. There are lodges in Jumla and few guest house at the Lake, in between there are ten houses where you could stay but camping in more pleasant and certainly more reliable, rather stay in the simple guest houses. how ever there are developing more new trekking lodges as well.
